COMPRESSED AIR DRYER: The optimal solution for every need

In the world of compressed air, choosing the most suitable drying technology

In the world of compressed air, choosing the most suitable drying technology is crucial to ensuring operational efficiency, reducing consumption, and maximizing system reliability. Our range of dryers includes both refrigeration and adsorption solutions, each with specific characteristics to meet different application needs.

REFRIGERATION DRYERS

They are ideal for applications where a dew point of +2°C is sufficient. Their operating principle is based on cooling compressed air down to approximately +2°C, causing excess moisture to condense, which is then separated and discharged.

This solution is easy to manage, has low operating costs, and requires minimal maintenance. However, it is not suitable for processes requiring extremely dry air.

ADSORPTION DRYERS

For more demanding applications, we offer adsorption dryers, capable of achieving dew points as low as – 40°C up to max. Performance of – 70°C for some type of dryer. These devices use a bed of adsorbent material to capture moisture from the air. Once saturated, the material must be regenerated, which can be done using various methods:

  • Heatless Regeneration: A portion of the dried air, between 15% and 17% of the total flow, is used to regenerate the adsorbent material. This technology is effective but results in significant air loss.
  • Heated Regeneration with Electric or Steam Heaters: Uses external heat sources to regenerate the adsorbent material, reducing compressed air consumption.
  • Blower Regeneration: Uses heated ambient air, further reducing compressed air losses in favour of greater energy savings.
HOC (Heat of Compression) Technology: Directly utilizes the heat generated by the compressor to regenerate the adsorbent material, ensuring maximum energy savings. This solution almost eliminates additional energy consumption.
  • Closed Loop: Through a complex circuit and perfect synergy between process flows and valve switching timing, it allows for extremely low dew points with zero air consumption, as the air used for regeneration is reintegrated into the process.
